Frank, tabby cat
“Frank was scared of our old vet but at SAHO he’s just as mellow as he is at home. He’s a very laid back cat and never gives us any trouble. EXCEPT when we try and put him in his carrier to go to the vet. It was always a fight to get him safely in and out of our old vet’s office. Since we started going to SAHO, Frank still doesn’t want to get IN the carrier but once we get to SAHO, he doesn’t mind cruising out to say hello.”
Sadie, Golden Retriever
“We love our Sadie but no one would ever call her the most well trained girl. She only knows a few tricks, loves to jump up and give kisses and has been known to dig a hole or two (or twenty!) in the back yard. But there’s one trick she’s picked up over the years we’ve been taking her to SAHO – Sadie knows the phrase “Wanna go to SAHO?” & runs to the door ready to go!”
Snapple, orange tabby kitten
“We were nervous about getting a kitten but SAHO made sure we were prepared. They gave us all the info we needed to be ready for vaccines, providing a proper diet, litter box training and spaying/neutering. Since we we’re so well prepared, bringing Snapple into our home has been much easier than expected. Thanks SAHO!”
Georgie, Dachshund
“Georgie always has a smile when we leave the vet because he gets a treat there. Even if he’s sick when we take him there, he feels better after the doctor sees him and he gets his treat. And one time he was really sick and he had to spend the night but I don’t think he minded.”
Ginger, Doberman mix
“Our dog Ginger has always been hyper. We walk her every day, she has a big yard to play in and we even got a second dog so she’d have a friend to play with. But nothing wears that dog out and we started to feel like we just couldn’t handle her with our busy schedules. Luckily SAHO helped us find the solution for Ginger’s high energy – agility training. Thanks to the resources at SAHO, Ginger finally has enough physical and mental activity to keep her much more relaxed.”
Kitten litter
“We live out on some land and have seen our fair share of dumped and abandoned animals. Our house is a testament to that as we have 5 dogs and 4 cats, all taken in after being dumped on our property. But when we found a box of kittens at the end of the driveway, there was no way we could take that many more cats. Luckily the staff at SAHO helped us find good homes for the 4 abandoned kittens we found and provided us with resources for the next time we have to help an abandoned animal.”
Buddy, English Bulldog
“I was nervous for Buddy’s first shots but the docs made them easy & painless. He was so small and scared, I thought his first check up would be really hard – on both of us. But everyone at SAHO made the whole experience really nice and next time, I’ll have no worries about taking him in for his check up and shots.”
